Family
I took pictures of my mom, dad, and my two brothers doing something. My mom was grading her students papers, and my dad was doing his work for his company online. My older brother, is watching some t.v. My other brother is coloring a picture for his college homework. These pictures are all in a black and white theme inspired by Dorothea Lange during the great depression. These photos are of our everyday life now that the COVID-19 has lead to schools, work, and businesses to be shut down. These pictures make me feel sad because they have no color to them. They are all black and white. It also reminds me that I have to stay home and can't go anywhere, which is sad because I won't be able to see friends or go to sport practices/ games. But these pictures show and remind me that I can catch up on things that I normally wouldn't have time to do. Like cleaning out my room, and playing games with my family, etc.
Outside Environment
For these pictures, I took them outside in my backyard and in my driveway. I took them there because when I go outside that is where I go unless I go for a walk with my family. The first picture is of my softball and my glove with my rebounder because softball practices have gotten canceled for now. So I have to get practice in at my house in the meantime. I took the second picture to kind of show how cold it has still been because we can't have bonfires, or we can't plant seeds in our garden yet. The third picture I took is of my hot tub at my house. I opened the gate off of my deck to show that we have been using it a lot since we have been home. The fourth picture is of my brother playing basketball outside because we have been doing that a lot as well. The fifth picture is of a volleyball in the grass and since my practice for my travel team is canceled, I also have to practice volleyball. I also find these black and white theme sad because outside is supposed to be colorful with colors like green, bright blue, and bright yellow. But now the pictures are colorless.
Homebound
For these pictures, I took them all inside the house to show what we have been doing inside. The first picture is of my bed in my room because I have been sleeping in about everyday since we don't have school right now. The second photo is of my brother's work area. My brother goes to college at Michigan so they are done going to campus for the year. We had to clear off our fancy dining room table for him. The third picture is of the inside of our fridge. Our fridge is very packed so that we won't have to go to the store anytime soon. The fourth picture is of a little table that was in our basement but I brought it up to the family room for me to work at. The last picture is of our pantry. Which is full of food as well as our fridge. This theme of black and white for inside is partly accurate because I think it represents the boredom of what everyone is feeling by not being able to go anywhere.
